Local Government Boundary Commission

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is currently undertaking a consultation on its draft borough warding pattern proposals. Their recommendations propose that the council has 44 councillors in the future, 10 fewer than the current number, and that new ward boundaries are established to reflect this change. Under their proposals, the number of wards would decrease from 24 to 19.

Details of the proposals can be accessed via:

The public are being invited to submit their views and comments ahead of the deadline on 13 December 2021.
