COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH
Did you know?
SPEEDWATCH IS A COMMUNITY GROUP WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PARISH COUNCIL AND KENT POLICE
In selected locations teams record details of vehicles travelling in excess of the speed limit
In 2016 Wateringbury recorded the third highest number of speeding vehicles in Kent – a total of 3912
All data is submitted to Kent Police who determine what action to take
To keep this worthwhile scheme going more volunteers are needed to join the present small band of watchers
If you can spare just 1 hour a week at times and days to suit you please contact the Speedwatch Co-ordinator, David Merry at
speedwatchdm@gmail.com or for an informal chat call
07484 200764
There is a small amount of training which is done on-line and Kent Police provide insurance cover whilst on duty.
